Welcome to Gamma Phi Beta at the University of Michigan!
From our president...
Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to learn about the women of the Beta Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta!
Here at the University of Michigan, we are the leaders and the best; the Beta Chapter works under this title everyday, acting as leaders in our own Greek Community to make ourselves the best that we can possibly be. Our philanthropic mission statement is building strong girls, which we actively do through our philanthropic partner, Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run helps us take little girls with dreams and turn them into women of vision (who can one day join us here at the University of Michigan!). This falls directly in line with our general mission statement to "inspire the highest type of womanhood." Our goal is to have every girl that chooses to join Gamma Phi leave as a productive, successful, confident, and proud Gamma Phi Beta woman. This goes back all the way to our founders, who consistently worked to inspire women to be greater than they ever knew they could be. As the Beta chapter, we are the second chapter of Gamma Phi Beta and were established in 1882. The women in our chapter inspire me everyday; whether it is in academic pursuits or service projects, they are constantly striving for greater levels of success.
Joining Gamma Phi has been one of the greatest and most enriching experiences of my life, and I could not be more honored and humbled to serve as President this upcoming year. Gamma Phi has nourished me to become the best I can be, and I know I will only continue to grow and learn throughout the rest of my time as collegiate member. I am forever grateful to the four fearless women who were brave enough to start this organization, as well as the fearless women I interact with every single day.
Love in IIKE and Go Blue!
